Verde Alfieri, a world
of unique and inimitable jewel
made of colourful precious paper
Verde Alfieri, born in Venice, lives and works in Milan.
She is the daughter of the well-known publisher, journalist and art critic Bruno Alfieri.
After graphic design studies, since 1990 she has mainly dealt with graphics and communication working for various publisher and well-known Italian companies and since 1996 for the family publishing company.
Fond of contemporary art and with a rich background discovering digital art creating artworks under the name MeltingVerde, in 2013 she finally approached studio jewellery in 2013 experimenting her artworks to wear thus introducing a more physical and material aspect to the experience gained over the years.
In 2013 Verde created her first collection of contemporary jewellery, using ropes and brass wires, and in 2014 the first collection of paper jewellery as small and precious wearable art works with a strong plastic dimension.
Verde combines precious papers or recycled papers in elements that pass through the blending of influences and styles that are perceived as her full inspiration. Modernity and uniqueness are embodied in jewels with incredible shapes and colors that recall Africa, the Middle East, Latin America but also the Italian territories, where jewellery has deep roots in great artistic traditions.
From ropes to papers.
The first contemporary jewellery collection was born at the end of 2013. The Cordini collection was entirely handmade with nylon sailing ropes
