Verde Alfieri gioiello d'artista, collana scultorea in carta color avorio con forma attorcigliata

Verde Alfieri, a world
of unique and inimitable jewel
made of colourful precious paper

Verde Alfieri was born in Venice and lives and works in Milan. She is the daughter of the renowned publisher, journalist, and art critic Bruno Alfieri.

After studying graphic design, Verde worked in graphics and communication for leading Italian publishers and companies, and since 1996 she has been part of her family’s publishing house as Art Director. Her passion for contemporary and digital art led her to create artworks under the name MeltingVerde, exploring color, form, and material in innovative ways.

In 2013, she expanded her artistic practice into studio jewelry, turning her art into wearable pieces. That year, she launched her first collection of contemporary jewelry using ropes and brass wires.
In 2014, she introduced her first series of paper jewelry — small, delicate, and sculptural pieces that combine artistic expression with material experimentation.

Verde’s jewelry blends precious and recycled papers, inspired by a variety of cultural influences. Her designs feature striking shapes and vibrant colors, evoking Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Italy, where jewelry traditions have deep artistic roots. Each piece reflects her vision of modern, unique, and wearable art.

From ropes to papers.

The first contemporary jewellery collection was born at the end of 2013. The Cordini collection was entirely handmade with nylon sailing ropes
